this is Sarah. also known as Sarah Buns.

i met her my junior year when i started water polo at Del Norte. we quickly bonded and by the beginning of water polo season our senior year we were inseparable. we were always passing 

partners, we hangout before and after practice, and did everything together.  

i always tell her that she is my most responsible, mature friend. she's never late, she does everything with 120% effort, and GETS IT DONE. if i ever needed a favor i know that she would do it, no matter what. and she'd do it quickly! i love that about her.

she is a wonderful water polo player. she pushed me to be a whole lot better and taught me so much. there were so many times she would score a goal and i'd scream across the pool, "THAT'S MY BUNS", because i was so proud.

yes, her nickname is Buns. it started one day at practice. i was in a weird mood and said, "i'm gonna start calling everyone by their name then buns". and just like that it stuck, but only for Sarah. she calls me Kelsea Buns, too. many times we'd tell people, "don't touch my Buns!" or "be nice to my Buns!". we're mature, i know.

today she left for college in Montana. she's going to be studying nursing! Montana is a long ways away and i'm going to miss you a lot, but i'm so proud of her! she's going to do soooooo good and i know she'll love living in the mountains. 

Sarah, thank you teaching me to be a better water polo player. thank you for being my co-captain, we were a great team. thank you for always encouraging me to give blood. thank you for always being my partner in the lifeguard rotation. thank you for swimming aside me and pushing me to go my hardest. thank you for helping me teach the preschoolers in learn to swim this summer. thank you for ALWAYS being there for me. thank you for making me not dread morning practice as much. thank you for teaching me to throw on the wheel in ceramics class. thank you for letting me come to your house whenever i need to and eat your food when i'm hungry. thank you for always making me laugh. thank you for being goofy with me all the time. thank you for loving me. thank you for making lasting memories with me.

i'm going miss seeing your smiling face everyday at school and work. but i'm so excited to hear all your stories and share mine when you come back for Christmas! FaceTime time me often.

oh, and find yourself a cowboy! if you find one now you'll have 4 years to get to know him before you get married! haha, just kidding. no pressure.
