summary of my week: "WE GOT A PUPPY"

pieces of Heaven!
went to the beach went shopping with friendssss.
Lane, Tommy, Beth, Dustin, Heather, Sydney and i feasted at Project Pie. obviously i wasn't tall enough to get everyone in the picture, even when i was standing on the chair!
then Lane and i showed them our favorite record store.

when i got home that night the garage door wouldn't open, which was really weird. then before i could even get out of the car my dad was rushing out the front door with a headlamp on. there was a power outage on our street. it was so weird because everyone was coming out of their houses saying the same thing: "i lost power, but only in half of my house!".

anyways this picture shows how i had to take a shower that night!
dinner at Nordstorm Cafe to say goodbye to our friend, Sydney. lots of tears where shed in the parking garage this night. sooo sad :(
Syd and Koa at our sleepover the night before she left.
this boy has been super stressed with school work these last couple of weeks.  but this week he was able to make time to come over and do homework so i could see his face for a little.

oh and he's growing a mighty fine mustache, huh?! hahaha
ice cream date after bible study with my Maric.
this picture is blurry but my love for her is clear.

no no no that was too cheesy. but i do love her!

and for the big news!!!

drum roll please:

WE GOT A PUPPY!!!!

on Saturday we started the puppy looking journey at 9 o'clock. we drove from place to place and went to what seemed like every place in San Diego. and at the last place we found this little gem!

the name the adoption people gave her is Faith! which is crazy because we were getting so frustrated driving all over the place looking for a puppy. we just had to have a little FAITH.

God is good.

we found the PERFECT puppy.
when we first saw her the people told us she wasn't available because she was too young. they weren't even letting people hold her. i walked away and next thing i know Lane had her in his arms! he had the cutest little puppy-dog eyes and i could tell her was in love! my dad and i quickly fell in love, too!!

unfortunately she's too young, so we have to week until the end of the week to bring her home. she is worth the wait, though!

can't wait for you to come home little girl! there's lots of love waiting for you here.

see you later sydgator

a see you later to my talented, beautiful (inside and out), brave, weird, generous, ambitious, adventurous, loving, fun, sister in Him.

this girl singssssss. she sings like an angel. her voice is so unique and i love it. i dream of her singing at my wedding one day! when she left yesterday for Seattle she texted all of her friends in a group chat a beautiful song she had written for us.

Syd went to Lane's school, but they didn't become friends until senior year. on Halloween of last year he introduced her and i at a worship service at church. after the service a group of us ended up going to her neighborhood and trick-or-treating together. Syd and i quickly knew we would be great friends because we were both obsessed with banana Laffy Taffy!

we continued to be friends, but didn't really start hanging out together without Lane until the end of senior year. but when we did start hanging out...man oh man we hungout a lot! now we never hangout with Lane, we are no longer friends of friends, we're BEST FRIENDS. thanks Lane!

side note: we are incapable of taking a normal picture...it just doesn't happen, but i love it. i have way too much fun with these two.

when we are together you can find us in a record shop, thrift shop, Papa Luna's, swap meet, Buffalo Exchange, or beach side. we bond over RECORDS. we're obsessed. i've never been to more record stores with one person in my life! we also find ourselves dreaming of backpacking together. God-willing, it will happen one day... hopefully SOON.

we often talk discuss how different our high school years would have been if we became friends freshman year instead of senior year. but i'm so thankful we were given this friendship!!

I LOVE YOU, sweet girl. have a BLAST in Seattle. stay true to your faith, post lots of instagrams or snapchats (so i can see what's going on), be safe, enjoy every bit, oh and study hard.

see you in December!

xoxoxxxoxoxooxo,

PS: thank you for the song. i will be listening to it often.

summary of my week: "family time"

on tuesday it was like 100 degrees in San Diego and then at about 5 o'clock the clouds came in from nowhere. it POURED for a good two. there were strong winds and thunder and lightening. it was the craziest storm i've ever seen in San Diego. it caused huge trees to fall on freeways and planes at the airport near my house to flip over!
the iPhone 6 came out on mine and Lane's anniversary! bigs news for 21st century people. i'm still happy with my iPhone 4s, though.
i helped Nati shop for work clothes! she starts a big girl job soon!

my mom and i had the family over for dinner!
we gave Kaylee a Minnie Mouse she could dress up, she LOVES it.
and she loves her belly-button. this girl and her belly button...i've never seen something like it.

she might be small but she's a big helper!
after school on thursday i went to the beach with Heather.
the clouds were insane!
love chu.
friday, september 19th four years ago this weird boy asked this weird girl to be his girlfriend...
she said YES...
then they became inseparable best friends...
the rest is history!

i love this boy with all my heart and i'm so glad to be his other half. i'm so excited to see what the future holds for us!
first stop of date night: ISLANDS.
fyi this is a picture of Lane making a Dr. Pepper float in his mouth. typical.
next stop of date night: drive in!
we saw The Maze Runner and Let's Be Cops.
on saturday some family came down to go to Coronado and tour Navy ships!
this is the USS Somerset. it's a brand new ship, i think they said it was commissioned in March 2014. it pays tribute (beautifully, i might add) to flight 93 that

i don't know why this is blurry but its so cute!
Aunt Kathy and a grenade launcher.

Kaylee and Lane had a date.
i can't handle these two.
i wish this photo wasn't blurry!
bunheads.

until next time Vause family. see you in Hawaii in January!!!
