Weekend bliss

This weekend was the best and I don't think I'm ready to say goodbye to it. The weekend started off with free slurpee day at 7-Eleven. Plus they have watermelon sour patch slurpees, so that was a score!

Saturday night was one of my top ten best nights ever. Unfortunately it was so fun I forgot to take pictures of it. Heather, Ava, Ava's cousin Ariel, and I went on a little adventure. We borrowed kayaks from Ava's store packed them into the van, got sandwiches at Con Pane, then kayaked from Shelter Island to Humphrey's by the bay to watch a concert. Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors and Colony House opened for NEEDTOBREATHE. Ahhhh the music was amazing, the company was amazing, and what I loved most was that NEEDTOBREATHE is a Christian band so I felt like I was worshipping Jesus the whole time! After the concert we kayaked back a bit slower, shared sweet conversation, and soaked in the beautiful night time bay.

SO thankful for this night. It fed my adventurous side and reminded me how blessed I am to have
friends that love Jesus.

THEN Sunday after church I got to see this beautiful face after almost 4 months of her being away at school then a missions trip in Cambodia!!!!!!! Sadly, she her family moved to LA but can't stop us! Luckily her sister had a beach volley beach tournament in Coronado, so I jumped on the offer and soaked up as much time as I could with her. It was so nice to catch up with her, hear about her boyfriend, and listen to what the Lord did in Cambodia. After hanging out in Coronado for a couple hours she walked me to my car and we got lost, BUT we found this beautiful light blue VW bus. Of course we stopped for a mini photoshoot and prayed the owner wasn't inside the house watching us stalk his van.

Anyways, Syd, I know you're reading this and I'm happy you are. Thank you for today. You're rad, inspiring, and beautiful. I'm so glad you blessed those children in Cambodia and i'm so glad we are friends. xoxoxo.
